Cancer in the Workplace and the ADA - U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC)

The EEOC document, "Cancer in the Workplace and the ADA" talks about how the ADA covers job applicants and employees who have or had cancer. It goes over:

  • When an employer may ask an applicant or employee questions about their cancer and how an employer should respond if an applicant or employee voluntarily tells them about their cancer;
  • What types of reasonable accommodations employees with cancer may need;
  • How an employer should handle safety concerns about applicants and employees with cancer; and
  • How an employer can make sure an employee is not harassed because of cancer or any other disability.
