Common Barriers to Participation Experienced by People with Disabilities
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) website talks about how there are multiple barriers that can make it extremely difficult or even impossible for people with disabilities to function. It discusses the seven most common barriers and how people with disabilities often face more than one barrier at a time. These include: attitudinal, communication, physical, policy, programmatic, social, and transportation barriers.
