Employees with Sight Loss Face Inaccessible Technology Problems
The article, “Blind People Stagnating At Work Due To Inaccessible Technology, Says New Study” talks about the American Foundation for the Blind study that shows employees with sight loss continue to have problems doing their jobs because of their lack of access to accessible technology. The survey covers areas such as the use of technology for hiring and onboarding, completing day-to-day activities, and training and working with IT staff and managers including asking for technology-related workplace accommodations. The study’s authors hope the findings can help identify and address gaps to create a more fully inclusive workplace.
