‘Human lift’ Improves Access for Boaters in Newport Beach

Newport Beach has installed  a “human lift” at its Marina Park. It's one of the few found in Southern California. The lift uses a metal arm with an attached hybrid chair-sling that can transfer an individual from the dock to a vessel over a railing of up to 18" above the dock. It can be used for vessels such as a small sailboat, a small powerboat or a kayak.
