New Report Discusses if Working from the Office is an Essential Job Function

October 6, 2021

The research report, "Is Working from the Office an Essential Job Function" is a joint project of the Rocky Mountain Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Center and the University of Montana Rural Institute. It looks at the legal framework of the ADA and the importance of classifying essential job functions, reviews how US courts have ruled on the question of on-site work, and reviews recent research on the large shift to telework during the COVID-19 pandemic.
For more information, see the full report or a summary of the report's findings.
