New Report on Impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on People with Disabilities

May 6, 2022

The NIDILRR report, "Impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on People with Disabilities" has examples of research findings on the effect of the pandemic on people with disabilities as well as available resources from organizations that have received NIDILRR funding. The report includes findings from studies looking at groups that were hard hit, such as people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, people from marginalized communities, and people with mental health conditions. The report also talks about findings and resources about community engagement and participation, rural communities, education services, telehealth, and employment and return-to-work accommodations. Finally, the report identifies research gaps and topics for further research.
