Public Education Campaign on Mental Health-Friendly Workplaces

April 8, 2022

The U.S. Department of Labor Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) has a new public education campaign on the importance of mental health-friendly workplaces.

The ODEP-funded campaign called “Mental Health at Work: What Can I Do?” talks about how we can all help in promoting a mental health-friendly workplace. The public service announcement shows the faces and voices of four individuals—a CEO, manager, co-worker, and employee who identifies as having a mental health condition—each sharing what they can do to promote workplace wellbeing, from setting the tone for an inclusive workplace to providing and asking for assistance and accommodations, to supporting peers and co-workers. It's being sent to television and radio stations nationwide, and different versions - including one in Spanish - are available online, along with a set of companion materials, including a poster, workplace guide, behind-the-scenes video interviews and workplace mental health resources.
