U.S. Department of Labor Gathering Ideas to Help Increase Employment and Economic Opportunities for People from Underserved Communities.
September 23, 2021
The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) has the responsibility to make sure its programs and activities lead to a more equal labor market where all Americans can get the skills and opportunities they need to find a high-quality job. DOL is examining ways to increase equality across the U.S. workforce through its worker-focused policies, employment support programs and federal purchasing activities.
DOL is gathering ideas to help shape its efforts to increase employment and economic opportunities for people from historically underserved communities, including people with disabilities. Individuals can submit an idea, comment or vote on topics including: the unemployment insurance program, equitable federal contractor workplaces, federal contracting, enforcement, and outreach and education.
