The ADA @ 31: A Review of New and Upcoming Implementation Issues
The Employer Assistance and Resource Network on Disability Inclusion (EARN) released the learning guide, The ADA@31: A Review of Emerging Implementation Issues. It provides a summary of new and increasing workplace issues that will affect employment for people with disabilities including:
- COVID-19 safety and health policies, including telework;
- Retraining workers for the post-pandemic economy;
- Accessibility of websites, online systems, mobile apps and other forms of information and communication technology;
- The gig economy;
- Artificial intelligence;
- Voluntary affirmative action;
- Centralized accommodation programs; and
- Personal assistance services.
