How Federal Nondiscrimination Laws Can Help Make Sure Telehealth Services are Accessible

The U.S. Department of Justice and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services put out a guidance document on how various federal nondiscrimination laws, including the Americans with Disabilities Act, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and Section 1557 of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, can help make sure services provided via telehealth are accessible to people with disabilities and limited English proficient persons.
