Recruiting and Supporting Neurodivergent Talent
Over the past few years, many companies have promised to increase diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in their workplaces. While that usually means race, ethnicity, and gender, it can also refer to abilities and disabilities.
The Neurodiversity@Work Employer Roundtable is a group of nearly 50 companies with neurodiversity hiring programs and support programs in place for new employees. The roundtable began in 2017 with just six members: Microsoft, DXC Technology, EY, Ford, JP Morgan Chase and SAP. The roundtable also joined forces with the nonprofit Disability:IN to launch the Neurodiversity Career Connector which connects neurodivergent people with companies who are committed to neurodiversity hiring programs and have job openings.
