Sensory overload? What Sesame Place San Diego Does Differently

The article, "Sensory overload? Not at this theme park. What Sesame Place San Diego aims to do differently", discusses how the newly opened park is a Certified Autism Center. The park was was created with autistic guests in mind, but others also benefit from its accommodations. Every attraction at the park is graded so guests know what types of sensory stimulation to expect and there is also an accessibility guide for guests with impaired mobility. In addition, all of the characters are trained to adjust their interactions around guests' comfort levels, there are special parade viewing areas away from crowds, and quiet rooms are available.
